If you love make up and beauty, I’m guessing you must be familiar with Charlotte Tilbury products or if you haven’t yet tried them you will have certainly have heard great things about the brand and their best selling lipsticks, foundations and skincare, you will most likely also have heard beauty lovers rave about the two products I’m going to talk about today: the film star bronze and glow and the ecstasy blush, both powder formulas. I have tried lots of different highlighters, bronzers and blushers in my time and these are genuinely among the best ones I’ve used. Not only do both products blend effortlessly, they are well pigmented and have have good lasting power. Below is my verdict on both the products.
Film star bronze and glow in light to medium
This bronzer and highlighter duo is actually a product I’ve wanted to try for years, ever since Charlotte tilbury opened a counter in Leeds and I’ve only just got round to trying it recently and I wish I’d bought it earlier. It comes in two shades: light to medium and medium to dark, the shade I’ve got is light to medium unfortunately I’ve not tried medium to dark so won’t be able to tell you but in this one, the bronzer is perfect for fair skin tones, I’ve always found it hard to find a bronzer thats not too warm and not too ash, something that won’t make me look like I’ve got an orange face bit something that’s not too grey either and this is just perfect, it is very neutral but gives you a healthy sun kissed look, I will definitely be sticking to it and not swapping it for another bronzer, it glides on effortlessly and is also great for contouring with, it really blends into the hollows of the cheekbones giving a more natural yet defined and contoured look. Now let’s go onto the highlighter, the bit you’ve been waiting for, this one is a pale champagne colour with a slight gold tone, when I first saw this highlighter I thought I wasn’t going to like it because by looking at it in the palette, I thought it would be too subtle but I was wrong, it gives you such a stunning glow and makes your cheekbones stand out, it’s not glittery like a lot of highlighters are, it’s shimmery and glowy bit so natural at the same time, you only need the smallest bit of product for it to give you that pop which I was surprised about because judging it in its palette, it looks like it’d take a few goes to build up but no, it just glides across the cheekbones like magic giving you the healthiest, most natural, amazing glow, it’s also not too thick like highlighters can be, I also hardly have to blend it and when I do it’s minimal effort and believe me i am a perfectionist when it comes to blending. This highlighter is good for either a daytime or night out look.
Cheek to chic blush in ecstasy
The cheek to chic blush comes in 8 different shades: Ecstasy, first love, sex on fire, love glow, the climax, love is the drug, pillow talk original and pillow talk intense. Ecstasy is the only one I’ve tried, I’m yet to try the others (which I certainly will do) so I can only talk about ecstasy today. Ecstasy is a pretty two tone peach pink shade, it is a buildable, smooth, colour rich formula and fits in perfectly with your bronzer and highlighter as it is a neutral, peachy shade, it is also good to use for a natural flush of colour when you sleep in and don’t have time to do your full face. While some people prefer to swish the brush around the sides and apply it to the cheekbone then apply the middle colour to the apples of the cheeks, I personally prefer to blend the two colours together, you can do it either way, you decide. I’ve tried my share of blushers, this being my first Charlotte Tilbury one and I can say I prefer their blushers to a lot of other brands blushers, i was amazed at how well it glides on and blends itself, I also love how natural it is and the affect it gives.
